The Minister for National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy presented the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas’ 2026 Work Plan and Budget (RKA), covering the Ministry’s 2025 performance achievements, budget requirements, and risk mitigation strategies to support the President’s priority programs during a Working Meeting with Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta, Wednesday (3/9).
Commission XI approved the proposed 2026 budget ceiling of IDR 2.597 trillion, allocated to the National Development Planning Program (IDR 1.069 trillion) and the Management Support Program (IDR 1.57 trillion). This budget will strengthen national development planning, including strategic initiatives such as One Data Indonesia, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and oversight of Quick Wins programs. The approved budget is expected to enhance Bappenas’ role in program management and accelerate development transformation.
Minister Rachmat reaffirmed Bappenas’ commitment to supporting the achievement of the Trisula Pembangunan. “Bappenas will continue to back the Trisula Pembangunan through policies focusing on poverty reduction, human capital development, and inclusive and sustainable economic growth. These efforts are reflected in initiatives such as the Free Nutritious Meal dashboard, the 2025-2045 Indonesia Education Roadmap, and guiding Indonesia’s transformation journey,” he stated.
From January to August 2025, Bappenas completed the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2025–2045 Law, updated the 2025 Government Work Plan (RKP), and prepared the draft 2026 RKP. Other highlights include the success of the Indonesia Pavilion at World Expo 2025 Osaka, which drew 2.4 million visitors and secured USD 23.8 billion in investments.
Moving forward, Bappenas will strengthen synergy in macro planning, regional development, digital transformation, and oversight of national priority programs by leveraging the e-Monev system and the National Development Risk Management (MRPN) framework.
Minister Rachmat also proposed the USD 50 million SMART Project, a collaboration between Bappenas and JICA, aimed at advancing bureaucratic reform and strengthening civil service capacity over seven years. “We firmly believe that through strong partnership between the executive and legislative bodies, we can find the best path forward for our nation,” he concluded.
