The Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Pambudy, inaugurated two Senior Executive Officials within the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, one Principal Expert Functional Official, and four Government Employees under Fixed-Term Contracts (PPPK). The ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Chair of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), Budi Prijono, and the Deputy Minister of Health, Benjamin Paulus Octavianus, at the Bappenas Building in Jakarta on Friday (5 December).
Minister Rachmat emphasised that development is a marathon process that demands perseverance, integrity, and collaboration. “The development marathon must be safeguarded with the utmost care, and it is hoped that the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas can serve as a cross-ministerial collaboration hub to ensure that the direction of national development remains consistent and sustainable,” he explained.
The two Senior Executive Officials inaugurated were Oktorika as Inspector General and Pungkas Bahjuri Ali as Deputy for Human Development and Culture. Minister Rachmat added that the Inspectorate General is expected to strengthen its oversight function, ensure accountability, and guarantee that all plans and budgets are implemented accurately and free from irregularities, while maintaining the established coordination with the Deputy Chair of BPK to deliver increasingly credible and transparent governance.
Meanwhile, the Deputy for Human Development and Culture holds a strategic mandate in the human capital development agenda, including national priority programmes such as improving public nutrition. The nutritious meal programme is one of the main priorities that must be managed in a measurable and accountable manner through close cooperation between the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the Ministry of Health. This inauguration also forms part of efforts to strengthen collaboration in addressing national nutrition challenges.
Minister Rachmat further underlined the role of the Principal Expert Functional Official as the intellectual vanguard of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, tasked with providing in-depth analysis, evidence-based recommendations, and policy innovations that are responsive to global dynamics, while also mentoring young planners. Government Employees under Fixed-Term Contracts (PPPK) are viewed as new organisational energy, expected to work adaptively, agilely, and with a results-oriented approach, demonstrating that performance and integrity are the primary measures of public service contribution.
“With the great duties and responsibilities on our shoulders, let us move forward together with a shared spirit to realise an advanced, just, and prosperous Indonesia. This commitment does not wait until 2045, but begins today through measurable work, safeguarded integrity, and a collective resolve that Indonesia will become a nation that is truly just and prosperous for all its people,” concluded Minister Rachmat.
