Partnership News - Tue, 25 November 2025
The Minister for National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Pambudy, and Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantono, witnessed the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding between the Village Unit Cooperative Union (INKUD) and several State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) as well as National Business Partners at the Bappenas Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (25/11).
The signing marks the beginning of concrete steps to realise cooperative policy directions aimed at strengthening the role of cooperatives in the national economy. The 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and the Directive Programme of President Prabowo Subianto mandate cooperative development to support the nation’s economy and development. “The Cooperative Programme has been included in Chapter 1 of the national strategic projects, and in the next five years we will see how our efforts unfold as we look ahead to Golden Indonesia 2045,” explained Minister Rachmat, at the Bappenas Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (25/11).
The cooperation between INKUD, State-Owned Enterprises, and National Business Partners covers five Memoranda of Understanding across various strategic sectors that support national development and prioritise the interests of the people through the Merah Putih Village/Subdistrict Cooperative.
These cooperation programmes include partnerships with PLN for expanding the reach of the electrifying villages programme, village digitalisation, and digital energy innovations in the national electricity transformation; collaboration with PT Bukit Asam to expand the cooperative-based value chain for coal distribution and downstream processing; and cooperation with Koperasi Jasa Karyawan Nusa Tiga to optimise food, agriculture, and trade management, as well as modernise cooperative systems and digitalisation.
Further collaboration has also been established with PT Pindad for the development of national vehicles and agricultural equipment to strengthen the productive sectors of cooperatives and villages, as well as with ISPI and PINSAR through a strategic poultry alliance based on community cooperatives to support poultry products that are Safe, Healthy, Whole, and Halal (ASUH), including the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme.
The realisation of this cooperation is expected to advance the development of modern cooperatives that are professional, independent, and competitive, thus positioning cooperatives as an important pillar of the national economy. “Today marks the revival of cooperatives; they once thrived, they once declined, and now it is time for cooperatives to rise again,” concluded Minister Rachmat.
