Following the April 2025 meeting between the Minister for National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy and CT Group Chairman Tran Kim Chung, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Policy Development and Low-Altitude Economy Ecosystem Management to Support Indonesia’s Digital Transformation on Wednesday (20/8).
Minister Rachmat emphasized that this collaboration is a strategic step toward realizing Indonesia’s Golden 2045 Vision. “To achieve this vision, it is crucial for us to harness the power of technology, strengthen our industrial base, develop digital talent, and invest in the next generation of digital talent,” he stated.
The 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) mandates digital transformation as a key pillar for accelerating sustainable, inclusive, and globally competitive economic growth. This transformation covers strengthening digital infrastructure, developing new technologies and digital talent, as well as fostering research and innovation to advance priority and strategic sectors.
Aligned with these goals, the partnership includes strategic planning, visionary policymaking, and digital ecosystem development; human resource capacity-building through collaborations with Indonesian universities; joint research and innovation; the establishment of a bilateral digital innovation hub; and the development of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology for applications in mobility and logistics, agriculture, tourism, industry, and healthcare.
Collaboration with this leading Vietnamese technology company is expected not only to enhance Indonesia’s technological capabilities but also to bolster Southeast Asia’s digital resilience.
“I hope this partnership will thrive and become a model for future cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam,” concluded Minister Rachmat.
