Democracy is a word that interests many people. Why? It is because a number of people judge that better standard of living will be achieved only if they employ democracy values. That is not wrong, since they have seen (maybe have experienced) the practice of democracy values in western countries (i.e. developed countries) on one side, and on the other side they have benefited from relatively well-distributed life welfare. In other words, western countries apply democracy values (let us say, for example, OECD member countries) and accordingly they can generate good life welfare.
